Costa Rica Mom Trips was created for moms who want to experience Costa Rica with their kids, but don’t want to do it alone.
Through Costa Rica Travel Info, we noticed how many moms felt overwhelmed by the idea of traveling solo with their children. The excitement of the adventure was there, but so was the worry: Will I ever get a chance to relax if I’m responsible for my kids 24/7 in a new place?
So we created a different kind of trip.
Costa Rica Mom Trips brings together small groups of like-minded moms and their kids for a supportive, shared travel experience. Kids get the chance to explore, learn, and play together, while moms build friendships and take turns supporting one another, creating space for everyone to relax, recharge, and actually enjoy the vacation.

This 8-night/9-day itinerary offers the perfect introduction to Costa Rica, combining the volcano region of Arenal/La Fortuna with the rainforest and beaches of Manuel Antonio. Designed with all ages in mind, it features a balanced mix of hot springs, light adventure, wildlife encounters, beach time, and plenty of relaxing poolside moments.
During downtime, you’re welcome to schedule a massage or simply enjoy some well-deserved alone time. Moms can rotate childcare within the group, giving everyone the chance to recharge — with the peace of mind that your kids are in caring, trusted hands.
There are a few optional tours you can add if you prefer to be a bit busier, but if you want more downtime, you do not have to add them and can instead enjoy time at your hotels or doing something else.
Our group trips are intentionally limited to five moms and their children, keeping the experience intimate and easy to navigate.
The group will gather at the DoubleTree near SJO on June 19 for a welcome meet-and-greet, with the adventure officially beginning on June 20.
While there is no full-time guide, you’ll travel together with private transfer drivers who serve as both transportation and local support between destinations. Scheduled tours and transfers are coordinated as a group, and the rest of your time is yours to relax, explore, enjoy the pool or hot springs, or share childcare support with fellow moms.
Trips are recommended for kids 4-12 years old. If one of your kids is within that range, but one is younger or older, we can talk about options.
Pricing is based on double occupancy for one mom and one child. If there are more children in the family, there is pricing for a 3rd and 4th person.
The total price includes private transfers, hotels, and tours/activities. There are two additional tours that are optional and can be added for an extra cost as outlined on the itinerary.
Double Occupancy (1 mom, 1 child): $3,400 USD
Triple Occupancy (1 mom, 2 children): $4,261 USD
Quadruple Occupancy (1 mom, 3 children): $5,130 USD
A non-refundable $500 USD deposit is required to secure your spaces, with the balance being due 45 days prior to travel, or by May 15th, 2026.
Trip deposit deadline is April 15th.
